Just married yesterday! Thanks Brittany and the rest of Plum & Ivy! As an older couple, Tom and I felt we had the knowledge and experience to plan and execute much of our own wedding. But we also knew that we wanted to hand off the reins on the day of, so that we'd could be totally in the moment. Brittany gave us the perfect amount of support and assistance. Completely organized, calm and smiling, Brittany remained. Several of our guests noticed their excellent service also. We give them our highest recommendation.

Working with Plum & Ivy was the best decision we made for the entire wedding planning process. We booked a day of coordinator and ended up working with a Brittany. She was so much more than a day of coordinator. She was in constant communication with us from providing vendor recommendations, reviewing contracts, laying out our final payment plan, and so much more. There were so many unforeseen details we did not see coming and Brittany did an amazing job handling. Your wedding is such an important day and can be stressful if you’re on your own. I would highly recommend working with Plum & Ivy.

As a wedding coordinator at a local venue, I wasn’t sure if I needed to have a wedding day or coordinator because I am so organized and do it for a living. I worked with Erika, Brittany, and Annie for day of coordination on my wedding. They were incredibly organized, professional, and sweet. The time and effort they put into scheduling the day and still finding the time to remember tiny details was unbelievable. I'm a very organized person but there's no way I would've been able to keep everything running as smooth as it did if I didn't have them on the day. They each brought something different to the day and made it even more special. My husband even said that was the best money we spent on the wedding-- that's a pretty big compliment coming from him!! I honestly couldn’t speak high enough regards for Maria and her team. We hired Maria as our day of coordinator but she went above and beyond, from the moment we connected she was there to answer any and all questions we had. She was extremely helpful and made the planning process less stressful.
Her vendor recommendations were spot on and she always made sure we stayed well within our budget. The week of our wedding she allowed us to come and drop off everything for the wedding. Without hesitation, she took everything and was extremely thoughtful. It was one less thing we had to worry about on our special day.
The day of our wedding she came to the hotel first thing in the morning and was with us the entire day. She helped coordinate all the makeup and hair schedules, the first look and all the pictures around the city. When we got to the venue everything was set up and even more perfect than we could have ever imagined. The only thing we had to worry about was getting married and having fun at our wedding.
Maria and Maddie took care of everything. They even broke everything down and helped us load cars. We didn’t have a formal after party, but they called a bar ahead for us and they had a section roped off for everyone that came. Every little detail they thought of and every situation was handled. The whole night went off without a hitch, and we owe all of that to them! We honestly couldn’t thank them enough for making our wedding perfect.
They were the best money spent for our wedding, I couldn’t imagine having planned or having the wedding run as smoothly without them.

I don't even know where to start with how much Maria/ Plum & Ivy events made our day so amazing. I will start with if you are debating on getting a wedding coordinator, do it!
Maria was by far the best investment we made during our wedding planning. We first met with Maria and she had answered every question/ concern that I had with planning a wedding and she had an answer or idea for everything that I said! After leaving the initial meeting my now husband said, I just saw a huge sigh of relief from you while sitting there! Maria is just so personable and knows her stuff! I will admit I am a bit of a crazy bride and on top of my stuff and emailed her more in the year of planning my wedding than I admit I should have, she always responded so quickly. She helped with vendor recommendations (all amazing), ideas, and helping let me know what I needed to do with accomplishing my dream wedding. Maria/ Plum & Ivy makes sure that you have everything perfectly ready for your wedding.

Erika Baumgartner was our day-of wedding coordinator at the Chicago History Museum. She used to work there and had great knowledge of the venue. She was so helpful in keeping us on track the day of the wedding and I really enjoyed working with her. Most helpful was the week leading up to the wedding - she used the Plum & Ivy planning document (which is very thorough) to confirm and coordinate with all of our vendors. Also, Plum was able to provide us some vendor recommendations, ideas on how to lay out the day of the wedding, and provide recommendations for songs for things like the cake cutting. I was waiting the whole wedding for something to go wrong and nothing did - which was likely due to all the logistical planning and coordination provided by Erika and team. I went into the wedding thinking that a day-of coordinator was not necessary, but after the wedding realize that it was worth every penny. Would definitely recommend Erika and Plum to any bride!

Both her and Erika were amazing to work with; they provided clear, organized direction to keep things moving, and went above and beyond the day-of coordination we were expecting.
Whether it was a recommendation, answer to a question, or simply providing peace of mind - they were on it. When it came to the actual wedding, it would not have been the perfect day that it was had Erika not been there - hands down. I was completely calm throughout the day of our wedding and it was because she had everything under control. We could not have had anything close to the wedding of our dreams if it wasn't for Maria and her staff at Plum & Ivy. Maria is so easy to talk to and has such a passion for what she does. She has a wonderful relationship with so many great vendors, which made it easy to put together the perfect team.
We had an unfortunate incident that forced us to have to look for a new caterer just 6 months out from the wedding. This could have been a disaster, but Maria was able to quickly schedule a tasting with a vendor that could fully re-create the menu that we had already fallen in love with. Thanks to her, we were able to stay calm and focus on other things that needed to get done.
Not only did Maria do an amazing job throughout the year-long planning process, but when it came time for the big day both Maria and Lindsey made sure everything went exactly as planned. It's hard to imagine nothing going wrong on a day with so many moving pieces, but we have had a hard time thinking of even one minor detail that wasn't perfect. This simply could not have been possible without Plum & Ivy.
To anyone looking for a wedding planner to help create the wedding of your dreams, you will not find a better planner than Maria. She is the absolute best and you will be in great hands.

Maria was the BEST! We could not have had the most amazing, beautiful wedding ever without her. I was planning my daughter's wedding from Cleveland and did not have much knowledge of the venues and vendors of Chicago. Both my parents were very ill at the time and I wasn't sure how often I was able to travel to Chicago. I trusted Maria to guide us through the entire process. She was able to get a feel on how we envisioned our big day and pulled off the most perfect wedding ever.
I couldn't be more pleased with Maria and her team they were fantastic, never worried and kept us calm. Everything she said would happen happened!! We always got a quick response to any questions that we had. She was more like our best friend planning the wedding then a hired consultant. Lindsey finished off the wedding day with smiles and helpfulness all night long what a sweetheart. I'm so glad for Plum & Ivy and all of their excellent work. Top notch people the best. I highly recommend them to everyone.

Words cannot even express how amazing Maria and her team are. As soon as I first spoke to Maria during my consultation, I was ready to book. She is so genuine, lovely and filled with ideas and advice. She is creative and has a vision of design, yet will not pressure you and will keep you within budget and within your own vision. I got married in July at W Chicago - City Center and the wedding was flawless because of her and Madeline. Every single detail was covered effortlessly from start to finish. She is so organized and calm and is always positive with a smile. I cannot say enough about her and Plum & Ivy. Whether you need full planning or day of, I highly recommend!!!

I cannot say enough great things about Maria and Plum and Ivy. I got married in July at Cafe Brauer and I (and my entire family and bridal party) must have told both Maria and Maddie at least 100 times throughout the day how amazing they were. Not only did she make sure the day was absolutely flawless, she was extremely helpful throughout the entire planning process, making vendor recommendations and creating extremely detailed "day of" timelines. She was also incredibly quick with responses to all emails and texts throughout the planning process. The team thought of everything - oftentimes details I would never have even considered! They made sure all my vendors were on the same page and helped get everything where it needed to be at the end of the night.
Hiring Plum and Ivy was worth every penny. I didn't have to worry about a thing the entire day and both Maria and Maddie were so sweet and fun to work with! I would highly recommend hiring a coordinator and especially recommend Plum & Ivy-absolutely amazing experience!

I would not have survived the wedding planning process without Maria and the Plum & Ivy team! We hired Maria a few months after getting engaged and she quickly got things moving and checked off our to-do list. She was thoughtful, organized and very good at helping me bring my vision to light without much instruction (I did not have much time to plan a wedding with work, so Maria worked a lot with my mom and now husband). The end result was stunning and it was exactly what I didn’t realize I wanted!
We also worked with Annie, the day of, and she is a complete rock star! She did an amazing job keeping all of us on track throughout the night and even going above and beyond to bring all of our items to the hotel room while we were dancing the night away. My advice to future brides is the same as the advice I received; book a day-of-coordinator - and more specifically, book Maria! If you're at all afraid you're missing something or didn't think of something, guaranteed she is 10 steps ahead of you and has already got it covered! I was able to spend the entire day completely immersed in the moment, and never felt the need to check on anything - having someone you have total faith in managing the pieces of the most important day of your life is totally invaluable and I can't thank Maria enough!

I would not have survived the wedding process without Maria! As a bride that has a pretty demanding job without email or phone use most of the day, I really had to hand my wedding over to her and my husband. They planned an incredible day. After one meeting with us, she got our style and was able to run with it, and thought of things that were past anything I could have imagined. She also has incredible relationships with all types of vendors, which makes everything so much easier. I didn't know a caterer, florist, or photographer could be so excited for someone else's wedding. I soon realized they were so excited for my wedding because it meant they got to be working with Maria. Along those lines, by knowing our style, we only had to meet with one vendor. As soon as she told us who she thought would best fit our style, we met with them and loved them. I would highly recommend Maria over and over again. She thought of EVERYTHING.
